Judge Luigi Marano administers the Oath of Office to Assemblyman-Elect Arnaldo A. Ferraro in January 1985

It is fitting to honor those individuals that have contributed so much to their communities and who have so magnanimously affected the lives of so many with their dedicated efforts and their irreproachable conduct while in office or as a private citizen.

This is especially appropriate in the case of former Assemblyman and Judge Luigi Marano, a person that has demonstrably displayed an unyielding commitment to excellence as he celebrates his birthday on July 7, 2011. Judge Marano provides the best example of a “role model” in today’s troubling times especially when politicians fail to achieve the expected standards of morality and ethics.

Arnaldo A. Ferraro, former Assemblyman and Chairman of the Fiorello LaGuardia Republican Organization states: “I, for one, will always honor and respect him. He is one of the first people I met in politics when I arrived to this country as an immigrant in the early Sixties. We had many pleasant conversations in Italian. Twenty years later, in 1985, Judge Luigi Marano swore me in as the Republican Assemblyman of the 49th Assembly District, an office he had occupied some years earlier.”

Lucretia Regina-Potter, Republican District Leader of the 49th Assembly District states:

“I wish Judge Marano a wonderful birthday!  I am privileged to have been acquainted with such an eminent and legendary member of the Brooklyn Republican Party who has in the past honored the Fiorello LaGuardia Republican Organization with his distinguished membership while serving as Republican District Leader of the 49th Assembly District”
