With the approach of the Thanksgiving
Under the
guidance of Tom Neve, Reaching Out Inc. provides much needed services for low-income individuals
and families in our area. Reaching
Out Inc. operates a Supermarket Style
Food Pantry, and helps its clients to file for food stamps, social
security and housing. They supply a clothing room for those who are in need
of clothing. Reaching Out also provides classes on Nutrition, Free Income Tax
Assistance, Summer Tutoring Classes, Operation Gobbler, as well as the
Operation Christmas Smiles program and more. “This non-profit,
charitable, community service organization deserves the support and
assistance of all community members and all elected officials regardless of
their Party affiliation." stated Lucretia
Regina-Potter, Republican District Leader of the 49th Assembly District. "Hunger is an evil on society that applies
to all its members, independently of their political or ideological
beliefs," she continued. "During my visit at the headquarters of Reaching Out Inc., I was pleased to see the dedication of the many volunteers
who were assisting the people who were lining up to receive much needed food
for Thanksgiving." ======================================================================================== NOVEMBER 19, 2009 To say that the Bay Ridge GOP Health Care Rally was uneventful
and unsuccessful it is an understatement. The event held at John Paul Jones
Park, a favorite and ubiquitous meeting location for the Bay Ridge GOP, also
going under the guise of the Brooklyn Republican Party, was downright
embarrassing, demeaning and even detrimental. It is embarrassing because the speakers at the "Rally"
did not convey any new reasons why people should reject the Obama Health Care
Plan, demeaning because the organizers claimed to have emailed 20,000 notices
and only about 40 people turned up at a rally that should have attracted
hundreds, if not thousands of participants. The rally was also detrimental
because not many people would be willing to associate themselves with a Party
that does not even know how to organize a rally. I personally feel sorry for
the High School student and Dr. Caruana who were
used to create credibility for a D. O. A. event that changed and accomplished
nothing other that adding insult to injury to our beloved Republican Party. One question that comes to my mind is
where were the 42 Republican District Leaders and the many appointed
members of the "Executive Committee,” not to mention the thousands of

LaGuardia Republican Organization. October 2, 2009 The recent
Kings County Republican Party Convention, held on September 30, 2009, proved
once more that the beleaguered Republican Party in Brooklyn is still divided
and without guidance. The "egregious miscounting of votes", and the
direct threat to the 49th Assembly District by Mr. Eaton and company, with
his disrespect for those who dared to challenge him, displayed at the
Convention, are very strong indications that as long as he is at the helm of
the Republican Party in Brooklyn, there will be no peace and unity. His 880 proxies
collected throughout the entire borough by the leaders of 19 Assembly
District are certainly not impressive when one considers that the Fiorello
LaGuardia Republican Organization which operates only out the 49th
Assembly District was able to collect over 340 proxies within 5 days! Certainly, the
suggestion that came from the floor to put Mr. Eaton on "probation"
was one of the highlights of the Convention! It was however, kind
of disturbing and downright disappointing for many Republicans to witness the
active participation of State Senator Marty Golden in support of Craig Eaton
by collecting proxies in his own name and turning them over to his chosen
candidate for Chairman. In a show of unity, and leadership, Senator Golden
should have remained neutral and should have limited his appearance at the
convention to the role of the only Republican elected official in As usual
these candidates are facing isolation and neglect from the Republican Party
in Mr. Eaton fails to
mention that for the first time ever during his watch, a Republican candidate for President did not win in his
home district of Bay Ridge, when instead John McCain was given the victory in the
49th Assembly District due to the 30% of the votes that the Republican candidate
for the Assembly, Lucretia Regina-Potter, received. It is for certain that
McCain would not have won the 49th AD without Regina-Potter's votes. His
criticism of former Assemblyman Arnaldo A. Ferraro, during the Convention,
and his disregard for the fact that Arnaldo A. Ferraro was the last
Republican Assemblyman in Brooklyn, proves his lack of respect for the
experience, knowledge, dedication, and loyalty that Arnaldo A Ferraro brings
to the Republican Party in For the record,
before the convention the "olive branch" was offered for the
benefit and good of the Republican Party by the leadership of the Fiorello
LaGuardia Republican Organization, but Mr. Eaton refused to accept that
peaceful gesture in an adamant position of hostility and divisive tactics. ************************************************************************************************** ARNALDO

AMOUNT OF SIGNATURES THAT THEY HAD COLLECTED. THIS IS ANOTHER
DEMONSTRATION OF THE ORGANIZATIONAL AND POLITICAL STRENGTH OF OUR CLUB. THE
RECOGNITION GOES TO THE LEADERSHIP, MEMBERS, FRIENDS, AND SUPPORTERS WHO WERE
ABLE TO COLLECT 1085 SIGNATURES IN ONE ASSEMBLY DISTRICT! A
TOTAL THAT IS UNPRECEDENTED AND UNHEARD OF IN WE ARE SO PROUD AND HONORED THAT THE 49TH AD IS STILL
THE HEART OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY IN **************************************************** kudos to all members of our club and the
